Invacom quad lnb setup forum

I will disconnect as King Tapeman suggested. I set the elevation for 41 degrees but on the opposite side of the elevation scale is another scale ranging from approximately degrees. As I stated above I set the Elevation to 41, What is the scale on the other side?

Is it for Longitude? Thanks again. Posted on Tuesday, January 06, - GMT On my last post I didn't see the response from "Plymouth" The motor is currently set to 0 and the pole is plumb all the way around but,I still have to find true south. Thank You. You play only with azimut and elevation of your dish not the motor. Posted on Tuesday, January 06, - GMT There's NO skew for circular or linear sats using a motor , the motor sets the skew automatically , your true south is your longitude.

I have 2 fortec star 1. You can do that by looking in the manual of the HH motor mount. In the back, you see a chart. Simply plug in your latitude and look to see the declination angle that it gives you. Based on the motor you are using, you need to subtract that angle from either 30 degrees or 40 degrees. This becomes the elevation of your dish antenna. Example: the latitude of Marietta, GA is When you plug that in, you will see a declination angel of 5.

When you subtract this from 40 degrees, the elevation of your satellite dish then needs to be set to They state that I have to find the "declination angle" from the manual of the mount that I'm using Digipower SG but I don't have the manual and can't find on-line.

I looked at the site that Plymouth recommended it stated that my "dish elevation" is Is it 5,6,7 degrees? Posted on Wednesday, January 07, - GMT Rob give me your give me your zip code and i will give you the good setting for the motor and dish. True Azimuth What should this be set at?

It ranges from degrees, and as I said it's on the opposite side of the bracket. Thanks for all your help. Posted on Wednesday, January 07, - GMT From what I gather there is an elevation scale on one side of the bracket for motor elevation ranging from 25 - 75 degrees,I set to 26 degrees and on the other side of the bracket for dish elevation ranging from 18 - 84 degrees for dish elevation.

Does this sound correct? Posted on Wednesday, January 07, - GMT Rob You have two side on for the motor elevation in regar with with your position, use the side that you are able to put On your dish you have a elevation scale, put Now be sure you had do what i says in my first ost or you should have many problem to set your receiver with this motorized dish. Dont try to found the perfect south, and do the fine tuning with azimut and dish elevation not the motor elevation. Posted on Wednesday, January 07, - GMT King I do like you first time but i lose much time to fine tuning for get all satellites from east to west.

I went back to that site and selected "Motech SG" which calculated my dish elevation at The problem that I was having was with the dish elevation, it wouldn't elevate past 30 degrees without hitting the motor mount.

Now that I realize my ridiculous mistake,I will set to whatever you tell me to. Let me know if this is correct: My motor should be at The dish elevation should be Forums Search forums. What's new Unread posts Latest posts. Members Current visitors.

Thread starter garyward22 Start date Jan 4, Thought it would be easy to swap over but I get no signal form the Invacom connected to each of the four outputs all the same - no signal Should this be a simple straight swap or should I be making any other adjustments to LNB setup on receiver?

I have a Sony and Panasonic receiver but neither work with Invacom. The dish is a Triax 1. The only thing I see on the bottom of the LNB is an earth sign - does this have to be earthed? Should I be using any of the four outputs for better reception? Would I need to change the are for the LNB? I have had several LNBs over the years and previously they have all worked in the same setup?

Staff member. My Location Berkshire. Many thanks - I guess this item is not much use now. Is there any way I can use it or is it for some commercial use. I am annoyed with myself as when I looked at the Invacom site I thought the Quad and Quattro seemed to be the same thing. Thanks for your help. Perhaps the place from which you bought it will swap it over for you. It comes with a page containing 4 graphs for the noise figure and gain response for each of the 4 ports.

Worryingly, the graphs are labelled Port1 vert low Port2 horz low Port3 vert high Port4 horz high. Now I'm just confused Pete. Llew cerca trova
