Bartpe blue screen windows 7

NO driver listed as the cause. There are older dump files from a year ago. Tested memory - OK Tested Hard drive - OK Removed 1 stick of memory alternately - no difference Did manual system restore registry files copied from Snapshot folder and renamed - no difference Tried repair install of XP - same blue screen If repair install failed - I don't know what to do except a full install, but I'm thinking that will fail too if repair install failed.

Try a BartPE disk or similiar to eliminate possibility of hardware problems. Next, test. If it won't start with Bart, there are problems not related to the OS or the harddrive.

Regards, David. Try changing BIOS settings to "default" or "safe" or similar settings. When you reinstalled XP, did you wipe the entire drive first? If not, and everything else checks out, you may need to. If you don't already have a copy, look at the UltimateBootCD - has tons of testing apps built in such as hard drive mfg utilities, memory testers, etc The other possibility is that if it's older hardware, and you're trying to install Windows XP with SP2 or SP3 already included, you may run into issues.

One other possible alternative, that I do at least mention to people when I fix their machines.. If they can't afford a new one, and don't have needs above what can be done on a Linux desktop, I at least suggest that as a possibility.

I just the other day wiped a failing Windows XP install off of a computer with these specs: 1. Asus K7T Motherboard, I think.. Couple other add-in cards Well, the Windows install had gotten messed up. All hardware checked out except I didn't even get around to unplugging all extra cards - USB, etc to see if that fixed the issue Just to see, I even tried Windows 7 - yeah, newer not older, but I figured why not Same results with each of them I downloaded most recent free version of Mandriva to DVD, burned, installed, not one problem So, now I have that one up and running, and running fairly well, I might add Except that I first used the wrong XP disk pro instead of home , and so the OS didn't validate - how embarrassing, at least I didn't call and find out over phone from Microsoft Now back to your regularly scheduled tech postings Please tell me how can I get and use this to create recover disk.

It will extract all of its files and folders and will create a desktop shortcut to launch the PE Builder. Click the PE Builder shortcut located on the desktop. After that, PE Builder will ask you to search for Windows installation files. Click Yes to have PE Builder search for the source files, or you may opt to type the path manually. You can also use a network location which contains all of the source files.

You may now select the optical drive from the list of devices appeared and then click the Build button. Wait for some minutes the you are done! Also, you can launch the Registry Editor by running Regedit.
